Voices Of Women For Change is a non-profit organization without any political or religious affiliations, that strives to empower women and girls to overcome social, political, cultural and economic barriers and to obtain gender equality and gender justice.

Our mission is to empower women and girls to overcome gender-based barriers and to live in a world free of violence and discrimination through consciousness-raising and advocacy.
Our Vision
We believe that women are vehicles of equality, development and peace and in order to ensure world peace and progress, women’s human rights and women’s empowerment must be at the forefront of all social, political, and economic agendas. Our vision is to engage in culture building and creating new images and new dialogue that will foster gender equality one step at a time one woman at the time.
Our Goals
-To shed light on the violation of women’s human rights in Iran.
-To increase awareness about gender-based discrimination, gender apartheid, violence and poverty affecting women and girls.
-To promote dialogue about gender-sensitive issues and social disparities affecting women.
-To organize public forums and events that will inform and educate the community about different faces of violence against women and about women’s human rights issues.
-To foster partnership and networking with other women’s rights and human rights organizations that share our core values in order to promote and ratify Convention on Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW) treaty in our cities and communities.
-To highlight and celebrate women’s visions, contributions and accomplishments in academia, literature, film, music and art.
Our Activities
-Organize talks, panel discussions, round tables, films, concerts, International Women’s Day celebrations, book reviews and book readings.
-Organize conferences and seminars with an emphasis on identifying and analyzing social, cultural, political and economic barriers to gender equality.
-Promote the ratification of CEDAW by engaging community organizations, individuals and local community leaders.
-Create a women’s news committee for the purpose of disseminating information about women’s issues on the website, and social media.
-Fundraising Committee
-Other activities to promote VOW’s vision and mission.
